Pre-Departure Jitters

I have only 27 days until I depart for my service with the Peace Corps. As of this week, I have my plane ticket to Miami for staging (the step to officially dedicate myself to my future with Peace Corps service), my packing list finalized, and my "see you laters" to my friends and family taken care of. It is starting to feel real all of a sudden even though there is still so much unknown. I will not know for a while, officially in country where I will be staying, who I will be with, or what exactly I will be doing. As of now, I know that I will be working for the Peace Corps for a little over 2 years with the health sector in the Dominican Republic. The rest is mostly up to spectulation for now and even though there are so many unknowns in my future, I am getting more and more excited by the day for an adventure of a lifetime.
