Future Plans

I am now home, enjoying the holidays, running water, access to vegetables, and the freezing cold weather. I am so happy to be home reconnecting with my family and friends. It is hard to readjust back. Although I have grown up in this society and the household I have moved back to, I now see everything from a different perspective. Along with the recent US presidential election and me severely injuring my hand, my lack of sense of independence and self-worth has been detrimental to my ability to adjust smoothly- not to mention the dramatic drop in vitamin D absorption. Every day is a process.

I have recently accepted a job as a Special Education Assistant and have accepted a spot in medical school WVSOM to begin in July, 2017. I am thrilled and intimidated by the future. I hope to take all of the experiences I have learned that have changed me throughout my DR to my future work and life interactions. I hope that you have enjoyed my blog. Thank you so much to everyone who has been reading. All of my best and as always if you ever want to discuss my experiences or anything concerning my blog please message me!!

Be aware of the skills you have and follow the dreams you have not yet dared to dream. Remember sharing with others is always a benefit to yourself and the world.... so go out and talk to someone new or go try something you've never tried before. Who knows... you might change someone's life or even your own.
